In the mid-1960s, in parallel with the Saviem and Renault transformations, Sinpar released a vehicle under its own brand. Made from modified Renault bodies and a reworked Estafette cabin, this small compact 4×4 named "Castor" was available in several versions, tonnages and wheelbases.

The most popular Castors were the 1200 (short chassis) and the 1500 (long chassis), but there were also the 1200D, 1200E, 1100, 1101, 2100, 2200 and 3100.
