В 1958 году на базе трактора С-100Б была изготовлена партия тракторов С-100А для Советской Антарктической экспедиции. Основное отличие от "болотохода" С-100Б - 5-катков в ходовой части от стандартного С-100. Для обеспечения работы машины на высоте до 4000 метров над уровнем моря был введён турбонаддув.
