Best Tractor in chronological order

When C. L. Best introduced the Best 60 Tractor in 1919, it became a turning point in the evolution of the crawler tractor with its oscillating track sections, antifriction bearings and revolutionary steering system. The 60-belt horsepower tractor would become the backbone of the Caterpillar Tractor Co. product line from 1925-1932, and it would also become the basis for Caterpillar’s first diesel tractor, the Diesel Sixty. 18,931 of these Best 60 and Caterpillar Sixty tractors were built from 1919-1932.
