The first Scorpios were powered by a 2600cc DI intercooled turbo-diesel engine that generated 109bhp. In 2003, SZ2600 Plus DI engine was introduced. In 2004, Scorpio SLX was launched with two-tone exteriors and interiors. In 2005, the Scorpio gets a common-rail direct-injection engine that pushes up power to 115bhp. Rebadged the Scorpio CRDe.
