Scheduled for the IAA Frankfurt show in 1963 but replaced by prototype #13325.
Original color yellow.
Used as testcar.

Destroyed in December 1965.

First 901 prototype with 5 dashboard instruments, leather interior Pepita.
The first owners were F. Piech (since September 1965) and engineer H. Metzger (since 30 december 1965).
