Das Produktionswerk in Martorell, etwa 20 Kilometer von Barcelona entfernt, wurde im Februar 1993 durch König Juan Carlos I. von Spanien feierlich eingeweiht und ist eine der modernsten Produktionsstätten dieser Art in ganz Europa. Es umfasst eine Gesamtfläche von mehr als 2.800.000 m² (das entspricht etwa 400 Fußballfeldern), wovon ungefähr 260.000 m² Grünflächen sind.

Etwa 7.000 Mitarbeiter arbeiten in 15 Gebäuden in Früh-, Spät- und Nachtschichten. Aktuell werden in dem Werk täglich 2.100 Einheiten (443.000 Einheiten pro Jahr) produziert und anschließend per Schiene, Straße oder auf dem Seeweg zur Vermarktung ausgeliefert. SEAT verkauft seine Fahrzeuge in 75 Ländern.
