Британская автомобильная компания, основана в 1919 году. Помимо легковых автомобилей компания производила гоночные автомобили, авиационные двигатели, бронированные автомобили и бронетранспортеры. В 1965 году компания стала филиалом Ровера, а в 1967 году становится частью British Leyland и сворачивает производство легковых автомобилей. В 1982 году Alvis был продан United Scientific Holdings.
