В 1955 году Брюс Нодуелл (Bruce Nodwell) по заказу компании Imperial Oil изготовил гусеничный вездеход Nodwell 110. Для получения финансирования он использовал ряд различных созданных им компаний, таких как "Bruce Nodwell Limited", "North King Equipment Ltd." и, с 1958 года, "Robin-Nodwell Ltd.". В 1965 году основная часть продукции была переведена на новое предприятие, которое получило название "Foremost". В том же году новую компанию "Foremost Industries" возглавил Джек Нодуэлл (Jack Nodwell), сын Брюса.
