For 102 years a V-Twin engine has been at the heart of every Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

This year the Twin Cam 103™ engine powers all 2012 Touring and Softail® models with the exception of the Blackline, offering more power, more torque and a refined delivery. This engine produces up to 98.8 ft lbs. (134 Nm) peak torque, an increase of approximately 6 percent over the Twin Cam 96 engine it replaces as standard power for many of these models. The Twin Cam 103 is equipped with specific camshafts and automatic decompression release. It features identifying badges on the derby cover, timer cover and air cleaner trim ring.
