Логистический автомобиль Службы по ликвидации последствий стихийных бедствий земли Гессен (GW-L KatS) создан на базе Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 5023 и оснащен противопожарным оборудованием компании EGGERS Fahrzeugbau GmbH из Штура.

Шасси были поставлены компанией KBM Motorfahrzeuge GmbH & Co.KG, генеральным представителем Unimog в земле Гессен/Рейнланд-Пфальц/Саар. Строительство и модернизация, включая установку погрузочного крана, были выполнены компанией EGGERS Fahrzeugbau GmbH.

Погрузочный кран PK 12.501 SLD5 от Palfinger GmbH достигает грузоподъёмности до 3,0 тонн.
