Давайте разделять

W-196R - больше известные просто как W196. Эти машины никогда не назывались SLR. Это машины для гонок тогдашней формулы 1 (конечно тогда она еще так не называлась). На фото именно эти машины. Они были двух вариантов

- с открытыми колесами (монопосто)

- с закрытыми колесами (стримлайнер)

W-196S - больше известные как 300SLR. Это машины для раллийных гонок (конечно ралли тогда проходили не по таким дорогам, как сейчас. Сейчас раллийные машины больше напоминают легкие внедорожники :) ).

В общем это не SLR!!!
