Producătorul de mașini și utilaje agricole și forestiere IRUM Reghin a lansat marți, la București, primul tractor românesc – TAGRO, rezultatul unei investiții de 4 milioane de euro, fonduri asigurate de grupul MAVIPROD, acționarul IRUM.

Proiectul TAGRO a fost realizat în Centrul de Cercetare și Dezvoltare pentru Utilaje Agricole și Forestiere – IFOR – care funcționează la Reghin. Acest centru a fost înființat de grupul de firme MAVIPROD, în incinta fabricii IRUM și a presupus o investiție de 2,65 milioane de euro reunind aproximativ 50 de ingineri români.

Prețul de pornire pentru un astfel de tractor agricol va fi de 34.500 de euro. Producția în serie va începe în aprilie 2019, iar conducerea IRUM Reghin estimează că în primul an vor fi produse și vândute 200 de tractoare, iar în 2020 va fi depășit pragul de 300 de tractoare TAGRO și în 2021 vor urma alte 500 de tractoare TAGRO.
