JCB is expanding its range of mini excavators with the launch of the 8026 CTS.

The 8026 CTS joins the range alongside the zero tailswing 8025 ZTS in the line-up. The new 2.7tonne machine offers a conventional layout with a trailer-towable transport weight and increased lifting capacity.

The 8026 CTS uses a dedicated boom and dipper arm for greater digging and lifting performance. Increased efficiency allows the 8026 CTS to use the same engine family as the 8025 ZTS, with a similar torque output, but with a lower power rating providing a 14% efficiency gain. This is partly due to the introduction of the new efficient auto kick down track motors.

Features of the 8026 CTS include short-pitch tracks and auto kick-down, with an 11% increase in travel speed, now up to 5km/h. A new valve block offers increased precision control and the undercarriage is designed for easy cleaning.

In addition the hydraulic system now features full control isolation when the left hand armrest is raised for improved safety on site. The slew turret has been lowered by 35mm for additional stability, while the machine uses a redesigned undercarriage, featuring a more open design with angled track legs to prevent build-up of material.

The cab has more leg room and a further 50mm of seat adjustment for increased comfort. Customers can opt for electro-proportional auxiliary controls and a bucket-to-grab changeover option increases the machine’s versatility.
