Идея возродить Mercedes-Benz Rennwagen-Schnelltransporter появилась только в начале 1990-х годов. Поскольку чертежей никогда не существовало (изначально машину строили практически "на коленке"), автомобиль восстанавливали в течение восьми лет по сохранившимся фотографиям.

Сейчас на Rennwagen-Schnelltransporter можно полюбоваться в музее компании в Штуттгарте.
