В 1978 году Ikarus совместно со швейцарскими компаниями BBC (Brown-Boweri & Cie AG (Баден) / Sécheron (Женева) изготовили два экспериментальных троллейбуса. Ikarus изготовил кузов на базе автобуса Ikarus-280, который был оснащен электрооборудованием BBC. Двери 2-2-2-2.
