Super Great ‘FUEL EFFICIENT TRUCK’

The newly developed FUSO “Fuel Efficient Truck” realizes more than 10% better fuel efficiency compared to the conventional heavy-duty truck model, through improvements other than from power train technologies, such as optimization of vehicle aerodynamics, lightweight body design, optimized electricity management including solar power generation, and low-resistance tires.

Selected technologies are already adopted in series production models of Super Great heavy-duty trucks.

Engine: 6R10 diesel

Displacement: 12.808 liters

Output: 279 kW (380 PS)/1,800 rpm, 2,160 Nm (220 kgfm)/1,100 rpm

Transmission: 12-speed INOMAT-II (mechanical automatic transmission)

• Newly developed drag foiler and side spoilers for optimizing aerodynamics

• Adoption of alternator power generation control

• Solar battery power generation
