Volvo SD115 compactor weighs 25,690 pounds and has been upgraded to Tier 4-Interim compliance with Volvo engines: either a four-cylinder, 147.5-horsepower version or six-cylinder, 173-horsepower unit. The operator can adjust amplitude from the control panel, and can also choose two drum frequencies with a five-frequency feature optional. A center joint allows 38 degrees of articulation and 17 degree of drum oscillation for the 84-inch drum. The No-Spin differential provides traction and eliminates tire slippage, and Ultra-Grade traction system for slippery surfaces and steep inclines is optional.
