Launched in 2015, the new Cat 232D Skid Steer Loader incorporates design innovations of Caterpillar’s larger D Series machines, including a sealed and pressurized cab, electro-hydraulic controls, redesigned lift arms, premium seat choices, and optional advanced display (available with rear-view camera). The 232D uses a 67 hp electronic Cat C2.2 engine, meeting Tier 4 Final emissions standards. This new model was designed with dairy operations in mind. It has a rated operating capacity of 1850 pounds, making it capable of handling most materials around the farm. With a compact length of less than 100 inches, it is easily maneuverable in tight barn aisles. It's bucket pin height of 118” allows for stacking bales and load mixer wagons with ease. The 232D can make short work of daily chores with its quick 11 mph ground speed. Featuring new narrow lift arms, it is a very safe machine with excellent visibility from the front and sides. Caterpillar is the first manufacturer to integrate a rear view camera in a skid steer loader, giving the operator confidence in moving around livestock, barn gates, and farm workers. The Cat 232D Skid Steer Loader is equipped with Caterpillar’s patented engine exhaust system that cools exhaust and directs gases up and away from people, animals, or flammable materials to avoid an unwanted hazard.
