(1999) Yamaha YZF-R7

(1999-2000)

выпускалась в период 1999-2000 гг. исключительно как гоночный мотоцикл, предназначенный для участия в Superbike World Championship и Suzuka 8 Hours. Общее число выпущенных моделей - всего 500 шт. Причиной производства столь малого тиража мотоциклов было обусловлено правилами соревнований, к участию в которых допускались только серийно выпускаемые модели, поэтому выпуск Yamaha YZF-R7 в количестве 500 шт как раз делал ее мелкосерийной версией, допускаемой к участию в соревнованиях. Цена мотоцикла была весьма высока — порядка 35000 долларов.
