Tier 4-Final SD75B and SD115B soil compactors have a drum control system that allows the operator to adjust frequency and amplitude as soil types and conditions change. Two frequency settings are standard, but five can be included as an option. Drums also have optimized centrifugal force and an auto-vibration feature.

The 74-horsepower SD75D has 66-inch drums that deliver between 21,600 and 29,700 vpm of centrifugal force at frequencies between 1,850 and 2,025 vpm. The 148-horsepower SD115B has 84-inch drums, centrifugal force between 46,800 and 58,050 vpm, and frequencies between 1,850 and 2,025 vpm.

The compactors are available with smooth or padfoot drum, and can also be converted from smooth to padfoot by clamping on a padfoot shell.
