Автомобиль воссоздан по сохранившимся фотографиям ГАЗ ГЛ-1 в "Кузовной мануфактуре Александра Бушуева". Реплику представили 26 февраля 2010 года в московском автомузее "Автовилль". Работы над машиной длились более трех лет и завершились ровно через семьдесят лет после появления машины на свет.
