Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a contract with a major North American sand logistics provider for an order of ten Kalmar Rough Terrain Container Handlers (RTCH). The new Kalmar machines will provide easily transportable container handling in rough terrain with capacities of up to 65,000 pounds (29,000 KG). The order, booked in Cargotec's 2017 fourth quarter intake with delivery scheduled to start in second quarter 2018, will serve as the foundation of the customer's new fleet of heavy equipment. The value of the order is approximately EUR 10 million.

Kalmar Rough Terrain Center in Cibolo, Texas, has produced over 1,300 RTCHs that are in service around the globe. This latest version of the RTCH will feature Kalmar's G-generation cabin and advanced software to provide exceptional container handling in the toughest environments. Equipped with a modern Tier IV engine and attachments for sling load handling, the 4 wheel drive and steer, RTCH will bring added productivity to this customer's operating environment. Backed by Kalmar's extensive dealer and service network, this partnership represents a game-changing container handling solution to the oil and gas market sector.

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has gained an order to supply a further 18 rough terrain container handlers to the United States Department of Defense. Destined to replace older equipment, the Kalmar RT240s will be delivered to multiple military bases across the United States by the end of the year 2013. The customer currently operates 1246 Kalmar RT240 machines. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of this order.

The Kalmar RT240 provides exceptional performance, being able to handle containerised loads of up to 53,000lbs, across all types of terrain. Built to military standards, the RT240 has a proven ability to deliver a reliable materials handling solution, often in remote and challenging locations.

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has received an order to supply a further 18 rough terrain container handlers to the United States Department of Defense. Destined to replace older equipment, the Kalmar RT240s will be delivered to multiple locations across the United States by the end of the year 2015. The total value of the order is approximately EUR 16 million (USD 18 million).

The Kalmar RT240 provides exceptional performance, able to handle containerised loads of up to 53,000lbs (24 tonnes) across all types of terrain.

Kalmar RT Center (KRTC) in Cibolo, Texas has been producing rough terrain handlers since 2009 and currently has three assembly lines focusing on container handlers and forklift trucks. The centre employs approximately 170 people.
