Впервые этот автомобиль представили на Женевском автосалоне-2019 под экспортным названием Buzzard. Затем в феврале 2020 показан на Auto Expo 2020 вариант для индийского рынка - Gravitas. А в начале января 2021 года Тата объявила, что в серию в Индии новинка пойдёт под хорошо знакомым там названием Safari. Последний внешне отличается от предыдущих вариантов узором решетки радиатора, а среди опций появилась панорамная крыша.
