1940 Pontiac DeLuxe Six "Transparent" Touring Sedan

It was displayed at the 1940 Golden Gate International Exposition (World's Fair) in San Francisco.

Впервые эту модель увидели посетители нью-йоркской выставки «Автомобильные дороги и горизонты», организованной General Motors в 1939-1940 годах. Рядом с выставленным Pontiac Deluxe Six красовалась надпись «Первый полноразмерный прозрачный автомобиль сделанный в Америке».

Фактически это бы обычный серийный автомобиль, металлические части кузова которого были заменены на точные копии из плексигласа, произведенные компанией «Rohm & Haas». Для большей выразительности, приборную панель покрыли хромом, а все резиновые уплотнили и шины сделали белыми. Обошлась постройка прозрачного Pontiac Deluxe Six в огромную по тем временам сумму 25 000 долларов
