Компания BMW представила на Concours d'Elegance в Пеббл-Бич новый прототип, посвящённый столетнему юбилею марки, им оказалась обновлённая версия концепта 2002 Hommage , дебютировавшего этой весной на Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Модернизированный прототип получил ностальгическую чёрно-оранжевую гоночную ливрею, другие колёсные диски и тормозные суппорты золотого цвета. Калифорнийская модификация 2002 Hommage посвящена модели BMW 2002 turbo 1973 года, ставшей первой серийной европейской моделью, оснащённой двигателем с турбонаддувом.
