В 1904 году француз Луи Риголли установил на Gobron-Brillie Paris-Madrid два абсолютных рекорда скорости, став первым человеком, достигшим на автомобиле 150 км/ч и 160 км/ч:

31 марта в Ницце, Франция, рекорд составил 152.53 км/ч (94.78 миль/ч). В мае этот рекорд был побит на Mercedes Simplex 90 HP.

21 июля в Остенде, Бельгия, рекорд составил 166.66 км/ч (103.56 миль/ч).
