Как то читал, что R15 TDI тогда на первых гонках не смог завоевать первое место, придя только третьим, уступив при этом Peugeot 908, тем самым прервав те предыдущие пять лет доминирования в Ле-Мане. С выходом версии Plus в следующем году, Ауди снова расцвела и вернула статус доминатора на протяжении следующих пяти лет.
