Die türkische Devlet Hava Meydanları İşletmesi (DHMİ) beschaffte für die Feuerwehren auf den durch sie betreuten Flughäfen ab 2014 insgesamt 20 Flugfeldlöschfahrzeuge vom Typ Lion 8x8 S von Volkan. Eines der für die türkische Behörde aufgebauten Flugfeldlöschfahrzeuge stellte Volkan auf der internationalen Fachmesse Interschutz im Sommer 2015 in Hannover aus.

Die Devlet Hava Meydanları İşletmesi (DHMİ) ist als staatliche Behörde für alle zivilen Flugplätze sowie die Flugsicherung in der Türkei zuständig. Sie wurde bereits 1933 gegründet und ist Besitzer aller zivilen Flugplätze innerhalb der Türkei, wobei gerade für die größeren Flughäfen Konzessionen an private Unternehmen vergeben wurden.
