Komatsu Europe International N.V. introduces the PW148-10 wheeled excavator, which was showcased at INTERMAT 2015 in Paris (April 20 to 25). This new short tail machine is perfect for job sites with limited space, in urbanized areas or on narrow roads with heavy traffic.

The PW148-10 is powered by a Komatsu SAA4D107E-2 engine that is EU Stage IIIB emissions certified. Komatsu has leveraged its leadership in technology and innovation to design a more environmentally-friendly engine that increases power while decreasing fuel consumption. With operating weights ranging between 13,725 and 15,580 kg, the new excavator offers a net 90 kW (121 hp) at 2,000 rpm and is more fuel-efficient than its predecessor, depending on the application and conditions. This improved efficiency comes in part from the variable-flow turbocharger that provides optimal airflow under all speeds and load conditions.
