Модификация создана специально для участия в гран-при США 1952 года,, проходившего по правилам Инди 500 на трассе в Индианаполисе. Альберто Аскари (единственный не американец в той гонке) не смог финишировать из-за поломки фланца ступицы колеса (завершил 40 кругов из 200) и классифицирован был на 31 месте из 33.
