The Canter E-CELL concept vehicle is based on a Fuso Canter 3S13 with a 3.5 ton gross vehicle weight and a wheelbase of 2950 mm. The batteries in the Fuso Canter E-CELL have a capacity of 40 kWh, sufficient for a range of around 120 km. The top speed of the Canter E-CELL is limited to 80 km/h.

Kawasaki - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, will premiere its concept model Canter E-CELL with battery-electric drive system at the 63rd IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) for Commercial Vehicles.

Mitsubishi Fuso is presenting the practice-oriented design study of the Canter E-CELL based on a Canter 3S13 with a permissible gross vehicle weight of 3.5 tons. Key components include lithium-ion batteries (40 kWh) and an electric motor (output of 70kW, maximum torque of 300 Nm). The vehicle can travel about 120 km after about six hours charging via a 380-volt power network outlet.
