Mirko Bortolotti was retroactively disqualified from his DTM Race 2 victory at Oschersleben. The decision was announced by the German Motorsport Association (DMSB) on August 13, 2026, nearly three weeks after the race took place on July 26, 2026.

During a routine post-race technical inspection, officials discovered that the wheel bearing on Bortolotti's #63 TGI Team by GRT Lamborghini Temerario GT3 did not comply with the official DTM GT3 homologation requirements. This was a direct breach of Article 5.1 of the sporting regulations.

Grasser Racing Team principal Gottfried Grasser argued that modifying wheel bearings was permitted in previous years and alternative racing series. He claimed the team simply forgot to swap them back for the DTM event. He also pointed out that a 2024 DTM rule clarification - stating the wheel bearing modification was optional - was still active in the official team download portal.

The stewards rejected this explanation, stating the 2024 exemption was no longer valid under the 2026 rules. Bortolotti lost his race win.
