Mercedes Simplex 90 PS '1904

Из пяти гоночных Simplex, участвующих в Gordon Bennett Cup 1904 года, два были построены в Германии, а три собраны в Австрии, местным филиалом Daimler.

25 мая 1904 года бельгиец Пьер де Катерс в Остенде, Бельгия, установил абсолютный рекорд скорости 156.50 км/ч (97.25 миль/ч). Спустя два месяца это рекорд был побит Луи Риголли на Gobron-Brillie Paris-Madrid.
