Before summer’s end, Dawsongroup Sweepers will have received 30 new Isuzu 7.5-tonne (8.3-U.S.-ton) refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) and tippers from Isuzu Truck UK that will help the firm’s efforts to expand its business to include new customers and markets. Part of UK asset-rental company Dawsongroup, Dawsongroup Sweepers has already received 10 150-horsepower (110-kilowatt) Isuzu N75.150 4x2 RCVs.

Of the 10 Isuzu N75.150 (E) trucks the firm has already received, five have Farid Hillend Minimatic 8-cubic-metre (10.5-cubic-yard) fully sealed refuse bodies and five are equipped with Farid Hillend Micro L 5-cu-m (6.5-cu-y) fully sealed food waste bodies. The latter five can handle waste streams with high liquid content, and are part of the firm’s efforts to reach new customers with sealed food waste collection services.

Isuzu 7.5-t trucks are available with tipper/arb tipper, dropside/beavertail, box-/curtainsider, and refrigerated bodies and either 150- or 190-HP (140-kW) powerplants. E models feature an Easyshift automated transmission. The 20 additional Isuzu 7.5-tonners that Dawsongroup will receive this summer include 10 tipper and 10 cage tipper variants that will help the firm expand its fleet into different markets.
