С 15-го по 16-го Января 1987-го года, на испанском острове Майорка, Daimler-Benz представлял новый модельный ряд фургонов MB 100 - 180, который был рассчитан на полезную нагрузку от 1000 до 1800 кг и был произведён на заводе Vitoria в Испании. Вариант для рынка Германии был представлен под обозначением MB 100 D осенью того же года.
