PPLD (porteur polyvalent lourd de dépannage) – Multi-Purpose Recovery Truck.

The PPLD is the ultimate logistics support vehicle. It is used for the recovery, evacuation and extraction of immobilised vehicles and machinery.

Its recovery system has a main 18-tonne haulage winch and an auxiliary winch enabling it to cope with all situations.

To perform its missions, it is equipped with a high-capacity crane and towing arm. It has excellent mobility and protection adapted to front-line missions.

The PPLD is an 8x8 multipurpose heavy recovery truck, the latest generation used by the French Army. It is available with or without armour.

The PPLD can recover and tow heavy vehicles and handle heavy loads.

Today the PPLD is in service with the French Army in France and abroad.
