Today at the first day of the Geneva Motorshow the new Swiss Spyker team, Speedy Racing Team, announced its drivers for the upcoming season and used the show as the platform to unveil its 2007 challenger.

The brand new car, which will carry the number 94, came straight from the Spyker factory in Zeewolde, The Netherlands and was shown in its previously announced black and blue livery. The team will enter the Spyker C8 Spyder GT2R in the Le Mans Series and during the FIA GT 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on July 30 and July 31.

Together with the announcement of the teams racing calendar Team Principal Alex Pesci was also able to announce the names of the drivers that will be behind the wheel of the Spyker this season. The drivers to participate in the Le Mans Series are Andrea Belicchi, Jonny Kane and Andrea Chiesa. During the 24 Hours of Spa they will be joined by Alex Caffi.

The first official outing of the car will be at Paul Ricard HTTT when the team will take part in the official Le Mans Series test days. With the official Spyker Squadron not attending the Paul Ricard test due to their participation at Sebring, the Speedy Racing Team Spyker will be the only Spyker in action there. Jonny Kane will miss the Paul Ricard test, he will be racing in the FIA GT event at Zhuhai, but Kane knows the Spyker by heart after driving for the works squad in 2006.
