Karsan has delivered the first 12 of 56 e-ATA electric buses ordered for use in Romania.

The 56 18-metre vehicles were ordered under an agreement signed in 2021 with the Romanian municipalities of Brasov and Timisoara. They have a total value of 41 million EUR.

The first twelve of these e-ATA vehicles will be put into service this month by the Municipality of Brasov, while the remaining 44 will soon operate in Timisoara.

Karsan is also installing 59 charging stations, 15 of which will be fast charging stations, to support the operation of the electric buses.

In addition, the manufacturer will be responsible for all maintenance and garage operations of the vehicles for six years.
