Deere's 764 High-Speed Dozer combines a grader's speed with a crawler's flotation. It will grade to plus or minus 1/8-inch accuracy and doze moderate loads at twice the speed of a similarly sized crawler. Rubber tracks allow a top travel speed of 18 mph without damaging pavement.

Deere unveiled a prototype of what the company is calling "the first new machine form the construction industry has seen in decades" in March at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2008, and promised production units of the rubber-tracked 764 HSDs for sale in 2009.
