Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has supplied five new single and double deck buses to Notts + Derby, part of the Wellglade Group.

Notts + Derby ordered the three Alexander Dennis Enviro400 double deckers and two Enviro200 single deckers for an upgrade of the Unibus routes it provides under contract to the University of Derby.

The mix of double and single deck buses allows the operator to reduce fuel costs by matching vehicle type to demand. While the Enviro400 seat up to 85 passengers on busy journeys, the Enviro200 provide a fuel-efficient alternative where their 34-seat capacity is sufficient. All seats are comfortable Alexander Dennis SmartSeats with three-point belts.
