Massey Ferguson has introduced the new four-cylinder MF Activa 7340 combine and new six-cylinder MF Activa 7344 combine with a host of other refinements to the range to improve operation and performance.

The new MF Activa 7344, which replaces the MF Activa 7244 is now available with the option of a 5.5m wide PowerFlow header. This brings the benefits of this output enhancing cutterbar to users of smaller combines, providing unparalleled performance in oilseed rape, while improving cutting and output in a wide range of crops.

“PowerFlow is proven to boost output by up to 73 per cent in oilseed rape, 15 per cent in wheat and 12 per cent in barley. It’s also particularly useful in difficult conditions, helping farmers secure more of their harvest, more quickly,” Mr Sherriff said.

The existing range of FreeFlow cutterbars, with Terra control auto-levelling option, is still available in widths from 4.2m to 6.6m.

The five straw-walker MF Activa 7344 is powered by a new advanced 218hp Agco Power 7.4-litre, six-cylinder engine. This is widely used in Massey Ferguson tractors. This durable, fuel efficient and powerful engine is set to precisely deliver the torque and response required for efficient performance when combine harvesting.

The new MF Activa 7344 also benefits from the same drum and concave with independent adjustment as the MF Activa 7340. It also benefits from the Active Rear Beater Concave, for optimum threshing in a wide variety of crops and conditions.

The MF Activa 7344 features the same new, multi-function lever and terminal as the MF Activa 7340 and is topped off with new styling. This follows the Massey Ferguson Combine family feel with a new cab roof, grey upper part and a new rear straw hood. A wider flanged Rockinger trailer hitch is a new option.

Massey Ferguson is launching two new combines for the 2016 season – the new MF Activa 7340 combine, which is powered by the latest, highly advanced four cylinder engine and the six cylinder powered, MF Activa 7344.

Massey Ferguson, a worldwide brand of AGCO (NYSE:AGCO), is delighted to announce the introduction of its completely renewed MF Activa range of five straw-walker combines, which deliver more power, additional features and the option of the renowned, performance-enhancing Multi Crop Separator option on all models.

A completely new 260hp model, the MF Activa 7344, now heads the range. This is joined by the new 226hp, MF Activa 7343 and 185hp, MF Activa 7342 – all available with the option of the well-proven Multi Crop Separator as well as electronically controlled hydrostatic transmissions and significant cab upgrades.

New MF Activa combine features:

- Updated MF Activa combine range offering three models from 185hp to 260hp with an extremely well proven threshing system as well as being available in special rice and Anti-Wear versions;

- Independent concave adjustment – front and rear – set electrically from the cab;

- Sectional Concave design enables concaves to be quickly and easily changed when moving between different crops;

- Multi Crop Separator (MCS) option increases overall separation by up to 20% on all models;

- New modular grain pan with removable plastic inserts to ease cleaning;

- Choice of Freeflow or Powerflow headers for MF Activa 7343 and MF Activa 7344;

- Latest Stage V, four-cylinder and six-cylinder engines specifically tuned to deliver economical high torque and power for harvesting operations;

- Redesigned, electronically controlled, three-speed hydrostatic transmission;

- Uprated cab provides more comfort and ease of control with seat-mounted armrest, air-suspended seat and electronic transmission operation.
