Zwei der drei Werkswagen, die von BMW beim berühmten Langstreckenklassiker von Le Mans eingesetzt wurden.

Die Startnummer 26, das BMW Touring Coupé, wurde von der Mannschaft Prinz zu Schaumburg-Lippe / Hans Wencher gefahren. Das Ergebnis: 5. Platz im Gesamtklassement und Klassensieg.
