Что-то у меня мнение, что это не просто F-86, а F-86D "Sabre Dog". Был такой перехватчик с весьма оригинальным решением поражения воздушной цели. Правда сказать, идея полного отказа от стрелкового вооружения была не американцев сначала, а немцев ещё в конце WW II.
