Carrera Panamericana '1950–54

В 1954 году Ганс Херрманн (Hans Herrmann) выступил на этом автомобиле в пятой по счету гонке Carrera Panamericana и выиграл в своем классе - "S 1.5" (спорткары с двигателем объемом до 1.5 л), а в общем зачете занял третье место, позади двух мощных Ferrari. Также нужно отметить то, что это первый Porsche, у которого появилась спонсорская поддержка, - Fletcher Aviation и Telefunken Radio стали первыми спонсорами марки.
