For the 2018 model year, the Citroën Jumper base vehicle takes over the role of the all-wheel-drive version in the Avanti series; the front-wheel-drive Avanti models will continue to be built on the Fiat Ducato chassis.

The all-wheel drive in the Avanti models is permanent and automatically distributes power to the wheel with the most traction. Ground clearance is increased by 15 millimeters at the front axle and 23 millimeters at the rear axle. Additionally, the engine is protected underneath by a steel skid plate. The all-wheel-drive versions of all Avanti models are equipped with the 2.0-liter BlueHDi engine producing 120 kW / 163 hp.

Upon request, La Strada, in collaboration with the French all-wheel-drive specialist Dangel, equips the Jumper for more challenging off-road conditions. A rear differential is also available as an option.
