Бронеавтомобиль Chaimite был разработан в 1966 году фирмой Bravia по заказу министерства обороны Португалии. При разработке машины использована конструкция бронеавтомобиля Commando фирмы Cadillac Gage.

V-200 - базовый вариант с одноместной башней, вооружённой двумя пулемётами .30 калибра или одним 7,62-мм (.30 cal) и одним 12,7-мм (.50 cal) пулемётами.
