OCTOBER 21, 2017

(Kortrijk, Belgium) – TEMSA , a leading Turkish coach, bus and light truck manufacturer, has unveiled at Busworld 2017 its new long-range Avenue Electron electric bus. The 12-meters bus is equipped with TM4’s SUMOTM electric powertrain, comprising of a high-torque direct-drive motor and automotive-grade power electronics. With a range of 400 km on a single charge, this new bus platform will offer public transit operators a versatile option for the electrification of their fleet while minimizing infrastructure costs.

Production of the Avenue Electron will start in 2019. This 12-meters bus can carry up to 80 passengers and thanks to its 320 kWh battery pack, it can travel up to 400 km on a single charge, making it suitable for the operational conditions of most Turkish and European cities.
