Caterpillar has launched the new 992K wheel loader alongside its sister machine the 854K wheel dozer, improving both machines with design, efficiency, safety, and uptime enhancements.

Powered by an 801-horsepower Cat C32 ACERT engine, the new 992K delivers three-pass loading of the Cat 775 off-highway truck and four-pass loading of the Cat 777. To improve cost efficiency, the heavy equipment maker has implemented the Cat Production Measurement system which allows operators to minimize truck under-loading and overloading.

The new 992K also boasts updated hydraulics featuring improved pump efficiency along with other performance enhancements like improved fluid filtration and coolant loss monitoring.
