The first two prototypes of UZS 050 were created at the Research and Development Institute of ZŤS Construction and Earthmoving Machinery in Brno in 1985, the first verification series was settled at the Lucenec plant of ZTS Detva company. From 1986 to 1990, approximately 50 UZS machines were built in Lučenec. In 1990, 100 UZS 050 earthmoving machines were assembled in Trstená, and another 25 machines were probably built in Lučenec at that time. Subsequently, production continued only in Trstená, in the range of several dozen machines per year. The production of UZS 050 took place in Trstená in parallel with the production of forest technology of the LKT brand, until the end of the millennium. In total, almost 400 machines of this type were created in all ZŤS plants.
