Desmond Equipment SA (Dezzi) pulled out all the stops at the successful launch of the new Dezzi CMI 883 backhoe loader, which took place at the company’s head office and factory in Port Shepstone.

The Dezzi CMI 883 backhoe loader is the first machine that is not manufactured on South African soil, but is imported from Turkey. “We met Cukurova Machine Industry (CMI) at Bauma a few years ago, and through careful planning, consulting with our customers and doing our own research, decided that offering a backhoe loader to our customers will complete a greater package for them to choose from.

‘The joint venture we have established with CMI is well suited because of Dezzi’s engineering and manufacturing capability; we are the perfect South African dealer partner for them providing a platform for this product into the market,’ states Carl Gutzeit.
